This piece brings three orange veldfires into full focus, with more buds just starting to bloom around them. The leaves create a real sense of wildness surrounding the plants, loose and untamed, while hints of purple and blue weave through the background, contrasting beautifully against the bright orange of the flowers.

I found these growing in one of the gardens close to Coogee Beach during spring, the kind of unexpected pop of colour that catches your eye mid-walk and makes you stop for a closer look. There's something special about spring in the Eastern Suburbs, when the coastal gardens seem to burst into life all at once, and this piece captures a small slice of that.

Original acrylic on canvas, 46H x 61W cm (18" x 24"), painted 2024. Unframed, with framing available on request.

For international orders, delivery typically takes 2–3 weeks.

Please note that when shipping an original piece overseas, the canvas will be carefully removed from its frame, rolled, and sent in a secure tube for safe transport.
